Your mouth is an amazing, beautiful, and extremely complex part of your body. Your teeth must tolerate freezing temperatures, like ice cream, and near boiling temperatures, like coffee. They must tolerate pressures exceeding 600 pounds per square inch. The rest of your body relies on your mouth to properly prepare a healthy diet for digestion. Not only this, but for most people, the teeth must be presentable and attractive. Your smile is typically the first thing that others notice about you. Over 90% of Americans agree that a beautiful smile is an important asset.
Look Great, Feel GreatA bright, attractive smile does wonders for your self-esteem, changing the way you see yourself and the world around you. Recent studies indicate that a beautiful smile can make you appear friendly, interesting, and even more intelligent. You can choose to be more attractive and successful, and we can help. Dr. Gupta provides many cosmetic therapies designed to rekindle your smile’s appearance and self-image.
Peace of Mind, No Stress, No Fear Dental CareIf you're concerned about the guilt, stress, and fear associated with dental care, you aren't alone. Dr. Gupta and his team understand and respect each one of your concerns and encourage you to let us know how you feel. We've listened to our patients through the years, and here's how we've addressed a few of the stressful issues they've expressed.
SafetyBecause the mouth is a porthole to the body, we take great precautions to ensure a clean treatment room and tools. An autoclave heats all of our reusable dental instruments to extreme temperatures, which kills germs and bacteria. The sterilized instruments are then sealed, so they stay sterile until we use them. We also disinfect all surfaces in the treatment rooms after we see a patient. This includes the dental chair, trays, countertops, and surrounding fixtures. When possible, we use disposable products in all dental procedures to eliminate any possibility of cross contamination. Each year, our team trains in the latest guidelines and procedures mandated by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and the CDC (Center for Disease Control).
GuiltMany people postpone dental care because they don't want to feel guilty. Perhaps finances, time, or fear keeps you from annual checkups and restorative dental work. Dr. Gupta wants to know what concerns you so that he can consult with you to find a solution. There is no need to feel guilty about the condition of your mouth, either. In fact, if you haven't visited the dentist in a while, and you know that you need multiple fillings or crowns, we will applaud your decision to get back on track for good oral health. And we'll work with you to find options that fit within your lifestyle and limitations.
FearOne bad dental experience can affect a person for the rest of his/her life. Dental fear is a very real problem. If you experience dental anxiety, you’re not alone. Dr. Gupta understands that the fear you feel when faced with a visit to the dentist can be scary or even debilitating, and it keeps an astonishing number of people from seeking dental care. Oftentimes just talking openly with Dr. Gupta and building trust can relieve dental apprehension or anxiety. Our gentle chairside manner and nest approach to dentistry may help you feel better about visiting the dentist. Many times, patients have a fear of the unknown. Dr. Gupta will discuss your oral health problems openly, in terms you can understand. He'll give you options for treatment, and then you can make informed, wise decisions about your dental care.
However, if you think you would benefit from premedication sedatives, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral conscious sedation and post-operative analgesics, Dr Gupta will be more than happy to discuss these options with you. Our office offers nitrous oxide sedation to all our patients at no additional charge.
