Health Net Dental PPO Coverage
Health Net Dental PPO offers a variety of plan types with different coverage levels. Some benefits offered are x-rays and consultations, preventative care such as cleanings and fluoride treatments, fillings, crowns, root canals, and extractions. Sunnyvale Dentist Dr. Antonious is a preferred provider in the Health Net Dental PPO network. He cares about your dental health and can provide dental treatment for your entire family. Besides benefiting from his many years of experience, receiving dental care in our PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) office has cost saving benefits.
The insurance coordinator at Sunnyvale Dental Care works with Health Net Dental PPO insurance plans on a regular basis and would be happy to contact them on your behalf to request benefit information. We can then let you know what your maximum yearly benefit amount is, whether or not you have an annual deductible and if so what the amount is, and other valuable information to help you maximize your dental benefits.
You can expect your dental insurance to cover some but not all of your treatment cost. Most dental insurance carriers pay on a percentage basis. Preventative services are usually covered at a higher percentage. This may be 80% to 100%. Basic services typically receive moderate coverage. Tooth colored composite fillings and basic extractions would fall under this category. You may expect these types of services to be covered at 60% to 80%. Implants, crowns and dentures are considered by insurance companies to be major procedures and they cover these at a lower percentage. 50% coverage for major services is the average amount for many insurance plans.
Annual maximums usually start at $1000 a year per person, and annual deductibles are usually at least $25 a year per person. Some Health Net Dental PPO insurance plans may have separate orthodontic coverage.
Some patients who need extensive treatment need to schedule their treatment in stages because of finances. Sunnyvale Dentist Dr. Antonious will help you decide which items in your treatment plan are of the highest priority and need immediate attention. Some dental offices have their patients pay the entire fee up front, and submit their dental claims to the insurance companies on their own. The Sunnyvale Dental Care insurance coordinator will submit all claims and documentation for you.
